About

Since its foundation in 1994, the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) has aimed to encourage the exchange of clinical experience, scientific thought and investigation among European gynaecological endoscopists and practitioners in related techniques.

The ESGE encourages research and evaluation of endoscopic and related techniques. The recommendation of standards of training in gynaecological endoscopy and related specialties and the cooperation with national and international affiliated societies are further important objectives.

In its policy to offer a European Platform, the ESGE has established specific Cooperate Membership agreements with several national endoscopic societies or endoscopic divisions of gynaecological societies, joining the individual members in respect of the national identity.

The General Meeting of the ESGE Members, open to all members, convenes once a year at the Annual Congress. The daily management of the Society is assured by an Executive Board composed of 6 Officers (President and President Elect plus four additional Executive Board Members together with  the Central Office functions responsible for daily operations. In addition there is an Advisory Board of 16 representative members elected by the members.

The ESGE is a non-profit organization and has official seat at the High Breed Center – Diestsevest 43/0001 – 3000 Leuven, Belgium, also the address of the ESGE Central Office.
