The ESGE encourages research and evaluation of endoscopic and related techniques. The development of ESGE guidelines and recommendations by the ESGE experts in related fields is based on the best available evidence (most relevant and highest level of evidence). Collaboration with national and international affiliated societies on joint scientific projects is ongoing.
